Rayana Fonte Dance Company (RFDC) is a New York City-based dance company offering personalized dance training, choreography, coaching, and creative performance experiences for children, teens, and adults.


Founded by professional dancer, choreographer, and educator Rayana Fonte, RFDC was created around one fundamental belief:

Professional dance training should be personal, accessible, and built around the individual.

Every dancer has a different story.


Some begin as children. Some discover dance as teenagers. Some return after years away. And some step into a studio for the very first time as adults.

At RFDC, we don't expect every student to fit into the same system.

Train privately in a professional New York City dance studio with personalized instruction built around your goals.

IN-HOME

Our professional instructors can come directly to your home or private space, bringing personalized dance training to you.

ONLINE

Train with RFDC from anywhere in the world through private virtual lessons, coaching, and choreography sessions.

Our training includes ballet, classical repertoire, variation coaching, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, tap, technique development, flexibility, conditioning, performance preparation, and more.

RFDC also offers private rehearsals, audition coaching, performance coaching, custom choreography, and personalized weekly or monthly training programs.

Choreography can be created and taught in person or remotely through private online sessions and personalized video instruction.

There Is No One Way to Be a Dancer.

We believe in technique, discipline, musicality, and artistry.

We believe in challenging our students and helping them discover what they are capable of.

But we also believe professional training doesn't have to feel intimidating.

You don't have to have started at five.

You don't need a certain body.

You don't need to be pursuing a professional career.

And you don't need years of experience to deserve quality training.

Whether you're preparing for the stage or stepping into a studio for the first time, your goals matter.

The dancer should never have to fit the training.
The training should understand the dancer.

That's the philosophy behind RFDC.

MORE THAN TRAINING / OUR EXPERIENCE

Dance can begin with a lesson, but it doesn't have to end there.

RFDC helps dancers and students transform their training into something meaningful, whether that's learning a dream variation, preparing for an audition, creating an original choreography, returning to the stage, preparing for a festival or performance, or developing a project of their own.

RFDC is also home to the RFDC Experience, our signature New York City dance experience where clients can step into the complete creative process:

It's another way we take dance beyond the traditional studio.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Rayana Fonte

Founder & Artistic Director


Professional Dancer · Choreographer · ABT® NTC Certified Teacher · Certified Personal Trainer · Certified Nutrition Coach


Rayana Fonte is a Brazilian professional dancer, choreographer, educator, and artistic director based in New York City.


Her journey in dance began at the age of eight, when she started studying ballet in Brazil.

At 20 years old, she left Brazil to begin her international performing career.

What began as one opportunity became a life spent on stages around the world.


Throughout her professional career, Rayana has performed across Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Americas, working in theaters, cruise ships, live productions, and entertainment venues while experiencing different cultures, audiences, stages, and approaches to performance.

And she never stopped dancing.


Throughout her journey, Rayana has also received awards and recognition in dance competitions and expanded her career beyond performance into choreography, education, and artistic direction.

Her professional background spans classical ballet and repertoire, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, tap, choreography, performance, and artistic direction.


As an ABT® National Training Curriculum Certified Teacher, Rayana brings professional ballet training principles into her work as an educator.


Her additional certifications as a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach have expanded her understanding of strength, conditioning, mobility, physical preparation, and overall performance, allowing her to approach dancers not only as artists, but as individuals whose bodies require intelligent and personalized training.


Today, Rayana is the Founder & Artistic Director of Rayana Fonte Dance Company in New York City and Co-Founder of the Thalhe Festival, an international adult dance festival created around inclusion and expanding opportunities for people to experience dance and performance.

After decades of performing, traveling, teaching, and creating, the experiences of her career ultimately shaped the philosophy behind RFDC:
